Job Description

Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) is the national and international voice of Canada’s publicly supported colleges, institutes and polytechnics. Its members work with industry and social sectors to train 1.5 million learners of all ages and backgrounds at campuses serving over 3,000 urban, rural and remote communities from coast to coast. The association operates in 29 countries via 12 offices around the world. Canadian colleges and institutes, and the people they have trained, generated over $190 billion in added income for the national economy in 2014-15. It is within this exciting context that Colleges and Institutes Canada is seeking to recruit a new Vice President of International Partnerships.

The Vice-President, International Partnerships is responsible for the conceptualization, development, expansion, negotiations, management and administration of programs which increase Canada’s College and Institute activities in the area of internationalization. This includes support to their efforts at recruiting international students, at sending more Canadian students abroad for learning, at increasing opportunities and funding support to develop institutional partnerships between Canadian and overseas post-secondary institutions, at increasing the offerings of college services abroad, and in the internationalization of their own programs.

Experience in the Canadian college and institute system as well as the ability to communicate in a third language are desirable assets.
