The Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration, consisting of nine departments, offers a variety of credentials including certificates, diplomas, degrees, post-degree credentials, associate degrees, and a robust university transfer program. It is comprised of approximately 3900 students supported by 133 outstanding faculty, who bring a depth of professional knowledge and innovation to programming, research, and educational experience, offering opportunities to students inside and outside the classroom. Degrees within the Faculty are proudly recognized by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

Under the direction of the Dean, Commerce and Business Administration, the Associate Dean provides day-to-day leadership for the credit and non-credit programs in the Faculty. The Associate Dean works with faculty members, staff and administration to co-ordinate program planning and development, implementation and review, and to uphold academic standards. The Associate Dean assists the Dean with budgeting; handling complaints, grievances and appeals; selecting, supervising, and evaluating faculty and staff; overseeing work assignments and scheduling; and coordinating professional development opportunities.

Connaissances et compétences

This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative and collaborative leader with a demonstrated understanding of applied business education. The preferred candidate will have a graduate degree in a Commerce and Business Administration field, with a minimum of three years of leadership experience in post-secondary academic administration, including program planning, development, and review, administrative operations, and team leadership. In addition, the preferred candidate will have a minimum of three years post-secondary teaching experience in a discipline represented in the Faculty. The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. An equivalent and/or related combination of education and experience will be considered.
