The Centre for Learning Innovation will support the college and staff in the pursuit and achievement of these aims.
You will play a key role in the encouragement and ongoing development of evidence-based teaching and learning practices including: pedagogical approaches, curriculum design, universal design, trauma informed, anti-racist approaches, online, distance, face to face, blended, synchronous and asynchronous instructional practices, etc. with ACC faculty and stakeholders. You will facilitate professional meetings, activities, development and training workshops on a variety of topics that support excellence in teaching and learning. You are passionate about supporting ACC to achieve academic and quality goals.
Working closely with the schools, instructors, Chairs, and Deans, and the Learning Commons, you will identify faculty development opportunities. You will coach instructors in the development of programs and courses, the development and application of teaching and assessment strategies, facilitation of student success, and the use and application of technologies for teaching and learning. You will identify gaps and needs and develop training aides, guides and instructional materials that support evidence-based teaching practices.
You will have a passion for faculty development, a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, supplemented with several years of directly related experience in program and curriculum development, instructional design, and use of educational learning technologies. You will have demonstrated excellence in teaching and facilitation in an adult education environment. You will be familiar with Universal Design for Learning, anti-racist and trauma informed teaching practices. You will be a strong communicator who has demonstrated an ability to work effectively in a team.
Regular travel to provincial satellite campuses will be required.
*ACC will also consider secondments of internal regular faculty to this position for up to three years.
