Salary: $58,764 - $87,303 annually
(Educational Supplement: Master’s degree $2,725 per annum; PhD $5,450 per annum)

The Centre of Learning & Innovation (CLI) is currently seeking an Instructional Designer to promote and support best practices in teaching, learning and assessment; and mentor staff in the appropriate use of contemporary, emerging and innovative technologies.
Connaissances et compétences
We are looking for someone who is passionate about instructional design to help others develop curriculum that is based on sound instructional design principles and the appropriate use of technology for a variety of delivery formats. You will provide training aides, workshops and other professional development activities; assist, mentor and team-teach faculty on new and contemporary course design and technologies; and create course design templates and training guides for use by instructors and staff.
With your knowledge of instructional design and delivery methods, teaching strategies, learning activities, assessment mechanisms, and the integration of appropriate media and learning technologies you will be able to take initiative to be successful in this role. You’ll have experience with successful integration of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation activities that resulted in clear and concise course materials with logical sequences of learning, and components that match the course learning outcomes.
You’ll be ready to deliver results, supported by your relevant education in Instructional Design, and several years experience working in instructional design. You’ll have experience in program and curriculum development, classroom instruction, and the use of a variety of learning technologies. You will have a good understanding of adult learning principles and practises and instructing adults from diverse backgrounds, excellent research, writing, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills. You will be proficient in MS Office; have knowledge of course management systems (Moodle preferred),working knowledge of copyright, fair use and creative commons licensing. . Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to establish positive working relationships with multiple and diverse teams will be an asset.
