Are you ready to make a transformative impact on the future of business education? Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is searching for an innovative and forward-thinking leader to become the Dean of the Melville School of Business. This is your chance to shape the direction of one of Canada’s leading polytechnic universities and inspire the next generation of business leaders. This position is a 5-year term with the option to renew for a second term. The Dean will work closely with the Associate Deans and the Divisional Business Manager to provide strategic and day-to-day administrative and educational leadership to a group of diverse departments and disciplines.
Melville School of Business is internationally acclaimed and endorsed by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). We are one of Western Canada’s largest undergraduate business schools, educating over 9,000 students across 23 programs. Guided by expert faculty, our commitment to sustainability, experiential learning and practical application sets us apart.

Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a candidate with a doctoral or terminal degree in a related field, and a minimum of five years’ experience both in leadership and faculty roles, preferably in a university setting. An equivalent combination of education and industry experience may be considered. Your skills in strategic planning and enrolment management, innovative program development and applied research, budget management, academic administration and people management in a unionized setting will be crucial. You will demonstrate transparent, supportive, and change-oriented leadership, be knowledgeable in current trends in Economics and Business-related disciplines and excel in teamwork and consensus-building.

The Location:
The Melville School of Business Dean’s office operates from our Surrey campus; however intercampus and offsite travel is required. Partial remote working is also available.
