Institutional Research and Planning leads the business analytics and advisory services that support BCIT’s strategic goals and priorities for evidence-based planning, decision-making and monitoring of institutional performance. IRP produces numerous reports for use within BCIT, including facts, figures, and statistical information about BCIT; graduate outcome reporting; performance reporting (institutional, enrolment, program, surveys and analysis, and service performance reporting).
Reporting to the Director, Institutional Research and Planning, the Manager, Analytics and Reporting, leads delivery of comprehensive data support for all levels of internal stakeholders and oversees preparation of senior-level data analysis for decision-support, written narratives, and presentations. The Manager oversees quality assurance processes and is accountable for standards of compliance, resourcing, and timelines being adhered to, providing leadership and guidance in the development of performance/accountability measures to determine school, department and/or program progress and effectiveness. The Manager develops and maintains effective working relationships across all levels within the BCIT community, other post-secondary institutions, and with government agencies.
The preferred candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong understanding of labour market trends and demonstrated experience in advanced research assessment methods. The preferred candidate will demonstrate advanced analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement operational plans and service delivery. The preferred candidate will have a relevant Bachelor’s degree, involving advanced data analysis, with a minimum of seven (7) years progressive and related experience including in data management, data transformation, statistical analysis, and data analysis and reporting.
