CLASSIFICATION: Administration
STATUS: Full Time

SALARY RANGE: $ 112,226.00 $ 149,633.00 (Payband 13)
START DATE:  Immediately

Northern College is seeking a Registrar in our Registrar department. The successful candidate will possess strong project management skills, including the ability to work on several concurrent projects. They will also possess the ability to manage confidential information and sensitive findings, as well as design and evaluate questionnaires and evaluation forms. This will require experience with statistics, spreadsheets, word processing and database software. Good proposal and report writing skills, as well as well-developed presentation, organization, prioritizing, problem-solving and interpersonal skills are required. Knowledge of, and experience in the community college environment is an asset.

Reporting to the Senior Vice-President of Academic and Student Success, the successful candidate will provide leadership and strategic direction in the development, enhancement and ongoing management of Registrarial and Admissions Services college-wide, systems processes and services that support admissions, registration, fees collection, record keeping, enrolment management, audit and convocation for all post-secondary programs as well as student success initiatives and services.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage the Enrolment Audit cycle to ensure that the College is maximizing its operating grant.
  • Ensure the implementation and application of Ministry policies, practices and procedures pertaining to registrarial functions, services, and systems;
  • Ensure partner institutions are compliant with applicable regulatory frameworks respecting enrolment and student services;
  • Provide mentoring to admissions and student services departments; and
  • Assists with Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM) and, working in conjunction with Marketing, Institutional
  • Research, and Information Technology departments, to help support the implementation of SEM.

What you will need to be considered:

  • Master’s Degree in statistics, research, or business. Other related fields of study may be considered;
  • Nine (9) years of experience in a post-secondary environment with an intensive background and knowledge of student information systems. Knowledge of registration and record keeping requirements of a post-secondary institution. Other relevant experience may be considered.
  • Must have experience managing/supervising people and work tasks; and
  • Valid Driver’s License (regular travel between campuses required).

The incumbent may be required to provide a criminal reference check.
