ImpAct Partnership Services is a new organization-wide unit, inspired by the Strategic Plan, 2019-2024, to facilitate members’ collaboration in creating and strengthening social infrastructure (foundational services and structures that support the quality of life of a nation, region, city or neighbourhood) in Canada and to create new partnerships with external stakeholders from the public, private and not-for-profit sector to further the impact of the college and institute sector on Canada’s commitment to the UN 2030 Agenda
The overall aims of Impact Partnerships are to:
1. Amplify and scale up member institutions’ contributions to social infrastructure, such as social and economic inclusion and ecological sustainability.
2. Encourage collaboration among members and build deep and sustainable new relationships with external stakeholders, in particular with the private sector, to scale up the impact of cross-institutional collaboration.
CICan ImpAct will maximise student engagement and foster internal collaboration to maximize domestic and international networks, expertise and experience. In this way we can contribute more meaningfully to the UN 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus

Tâches et responsabilités
Reporting to the Manager, ImpAct Partnership Services, the Senior Program Officer is primarily responsible for the planning, implementing, monitoring, controlling, reporting and budgeting of funded SDG-driven collaborative projects. An additional core responsibility includes engaging with key staff at all levels in member institutions, project and program stakeholders, including federal government officials and industry partners. The SPO provides supplementary support and guidance to the entire ImpAct Partnership Services team in a financial, administrative and event organization capacity.
The work of the Senior Program Officer, Projects is reviewed by the Manager, ImpAct Partnership Services, based on objectives and work plans set annually.

The Senior Program Officer, Projects will:
- Plan, coordinate and implement all project activities, in collaboration with the Project Office, Partnerships and Projects;
- Design and maintain project and program operational processes using information and data management systems;
- Track deliverables and support funded projects and participants in the development of their work plans and activities;
- Foster and maintain the ImpAct community of practice and ensure that CIConnex entries are maintained and expanded;
- Contribute to the development of communication tools including a regular communication with the ImpAct community of practice, the web page, reports, presentations and social media;
- Ensure that all deliverables are on-time, within scope and within budget;
- Develop and update budgets for each funded project, in compliance with Canadian Partnership division expectation and approaches, and with CICan finance staff;
- Manage changes to project scopes, project schedules and project costs using appropriate verification techniques;
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques;
- Liaise with program and project partners and stakeholders on a regular basis;
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks;
- Prepare payment requests to consultants and expense reports ensuring proper account codes used and/or identifying inconsistencies and irregularities;
- Provide the Manager and other divisions and teams with statistical and data reports as required;
- Verify that financial transactions comply with CICan policies and all relevant contractual obligations as well as funder obligations (Treasury Board Guidelines) are met;
- Prepare agendas, minutes, reports and related documents as well as ensure that decisions are followed up in a timely fashion, and that problem areas are brought to the attention of the Manager;
- Draft/review contracts with consultants and partners and monitor deliverables and contract requirements;
- Attend conferences and events as required;
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned from time to time
- graduate from a post-secondary institution, preferably a college, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- 2-3 years work experience in project management;
- experience in the preparation of various reports including financial reports for projects, and in reconciliations etc.;
- experience in strategic planning, preferably as it relates to project/program operations;
- proficient in managing information and administrative processes, with at least 2-3 years work experience
