Based in Vancouver, the Vice President, Academic will report to the President & Vice Chancellor, will be an integral member of University Canada West’s Senior Leadership Team. The Vice President, Academic is responsible for the development and administration of academic policies, programs and personnel in accordance with a progressive academic vision and annual plan in a private, for-profit context. The Vice President, Academic is a builder, an innovator, and a persistent leader of growth and change.

The successful candidate brings senior leadership and administrative experience gained as a Vice-President, Dean, or Associate Vice-President in a post-secondary institution. They possess a mix of experience that includes oversight for areas such as academic planning, budget management, human resource leadership, and/or student services. They will have extensive in-class and on-line education experience with domestic and international students, and an understanding of public and ideally private post-secondary legislation, structures and reporting in British Columbia and knowledge of related operations (e.g., BC Council on Admission and Transfer).
