In these times of accelerated and significant change, the goal of supporting the success, experience and well-being of all students has never been more critical.  Our Students and Students First are vital ingredients of St. Lawrence College’s mission and Strategic Plan 2019-2024 “SLC in Five”.  With this important mandate, reporting to the President and as a member of the College's Executive Team, the Vice-President Student Affairs will work collaboratively with students, student governments, academic and administrative partners across the tri-campus college, as well as with community organizations, to plan, develop and deliver high-quality, and inclusive services and programs that engage, support and promote student-centered learning, wellness and success.  Ensuring equity and consistency of tri-campus access, the Vice-President Student Affairs will lead a large, diverse portfolio and team of professionals and staff in the areas of: Counselling and Accessibility services, Financial Aid, Health Services, Academic Support Services, Athletics and Recreation, Student Engagement, Library Services, Residence and Conference Services and Student Rights and Responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader and possess a relevant master’s degree and ten or more years of progressive senior leadership and management experience in student affairs from a complex, post-secondary education environment.  An acceptable combination of education and extensive experience may also be considered.  As an advocate and champion for student affairs, with a deep appreciation for diverse student populations, the candidate will be strategic and collaborative, with the proven ability to successfully lead, plan and manage teams of professionals and operations in a complex and diverse environment. Working to provide comprehensive, integrated services that holistically support and promote student success, well-being, learning, and engagement, the successful candidate will drive innovation to strengthen student affairs through and beyond the current climate. Modelling and inspiring accountability, teamwork, transparency, respect, trust and integrity, the candidate will also be thoughtful, emotionally intelligent, politically astute, confident, an articulate communicator.

The salary range for this role is $126,716 to $168,954 (Salary band 16).  The compensation package includes a performance-based incentive program and a comprehensive benefit package.  Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience ultimately.
