This position is an in-person role based out of the Ayamdigut campus in Whitehorse, Yukon.

Yukon University seeks an individual with energy and vision to fill the position of Manager, Research & Scholarly Activity Services in the Research Services Office (RSO). The Manager plays a key role in cultivating a culture that celebrates research and scholarly activity across YukonU’s campuses and in creating pathways to enable this activity. Your ideas and energy will support the development of new opportunities for faculty and staff engagement in research and scholarly activity, and accessible and efficient processes in support of research administration. You will oversee the RSO, and your vision will see this office develop effective processes to provide wrap-around supports for YukonU’s students and faculty members from a service-oriented perspective.

You will be involved in both administration of our activities and celebration of our successes. This will have you engaged with the RSO team in developing and implementing policies and processes to support pre-and post-award management, funding compliance, research ethics review, internal grant administration, monitoring and advising on budget allocations and other resources, training and capacity development, and communication and celebration activities related to research and scholarly activity at YukonU. The manager is also involved in the operation of the central laboratory.

Your leadership will support the continued development of a vibrant, efficient and productive research and scholarly activity environment at YukonU, and will enable our YukonU community to continue to create new knowledge and explore new practices that support our students and the territory.

The Manager, Research & Scholarly Activity Services serves all YukonU campuses and research broadly throughout the institution and will contribute to efforts related to decolonization and the indigenization of research and scholarly activity administration, including policy and service delivery.
