The\u00a0Southern Alberta Institute of Technology\u00a0(SAIT)\u00a0is a polytechnic institute in Calgary, Alberta,\u00a0with a vision to become a global leader in applied education. Building on its 100+ year history SAIT continues to reimagine the workforce of tomorrow and continues to train hit-the-ground-ready, future-proofed graduates.<\/p>\n

An opportunity now exists to join the Executive Management Team as SAIT\u2019s inaugural Vice President, People and Culture (VPPC). The VPPC is responsible for the overall management of the People and Culture\u00a0 portfolio in support of advancing the priorities of SAIT\u2019s Academic Plan and other supporting plans. The VPPC portfolio includes Employee Services, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Indigenous Initiatives, Natoysopoyiis, Sustainability, and Athletics and Recreation.<\/p>\n

Reporting to the President and CEO, the VPPC is the senior-most administrative officer in People and Culture and provides strategic leadership for the institution as well as the broader SAIT community to accomplish SAIT\u2019s commitments, goals and vison. The VPPC works collaboratively with leadership, management, faculty, staff and students across campus and with key external stakeholders to enhance SAIT\u2019s ability to achieve its people objectives and sustain a culture that sees people as SAIT\u2019s greatest strength.<\/p>\n

Education<\/strong><\/p>\n

As the ideal candidate, you have A master\u2019s degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Leadership, Business Administration or other relevant advanced degree in a related discipline ideally combined with a professional designation (CPHR or SPHR) with a minimum of 10 years\u2019 experience at a senior leadership level, ideally in a post-secondary or other public-sector environment.<\/p>\n
