Camosun College is a highly respected, public post-secondary institution grounded in place, purpose, and community.

Reporting directly to the President and CEO and working closely with the senior leadership team and Board of Governors, the CFO will be expected to bring clarity, discipline, and transparency to financial decision-making, ensuring that resources are aligned with Camosun’s academic mission, operational priorities, and long-term sustainability.

The Chief Financial Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping Camosun’s financial future at a time of complexity and opportunity in the post-secondary sector. As the College’s senior financial officer overseeing a $160 million operating budget and a member of the senior leadership team, the CFO will provide strategic leadership across financial planning, budgeting, reporting, procurement, risk management, financial systems, capital planning, and institutional stewardship.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished, values-driven financial executive with experience leading broad finance and corporate services portfolios in complex post-secondary, education, municipal, government, public sector or similarly mission-driven environments. They will bring strong financial and business acumen, sound judgment, and a demonstrated ability to align financial strategy with institutional priorities, while navigating public accountability, regulatory expectations, funding constraints, and competing stakeholder needs. Equally important, they will be open, collaborative, and credible people leader who builds trust, develops high-performing teams, communicate complex information with clarity, and fosters a culture of service, accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $231,700, with a control point of $201,500. Placement within the range will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations. The College also offers a comprehensive pension and benefits program, as well as eligibility for relocation assistance in accordance with applicable policies.
