Red River College, Portage Campus requires instructors for teaching, supervision and guidance of students in virtual, in person classroom and practicum settings. This will include: preparing course outlines, maintaining student records, student evaluations, development and adherence to the delivery schedule within an allocated time, attendance at scheduled meetings, ensuring curriculum content is consistent with parent program, and student assignments reflect industry needs within Early Childhood Education.


  • A relevant degree focused on early childhood education (i.e. Developmental Studies, Child Development, Human Ecology, Early Childhood Education)
  • Classified as an ECE III in Manitoba or the equivalent from another province
  • Extensive experience in the field of Early Childhood Learning and Care either in childcare or a similar setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
    Excellent communication skills, including demonstrated presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Clear understanding of current trends and research in early childhood education and care
  • Ability to include diverse perspectives in a teaching environment, and demonstrated experience working with diverse communities
  • Intercultural/Indigenous competence
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment to Truth and Reconciliation
  • Values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Commitment to lifelong learning


  • Related Master’s Degree
  • Experience in post-secondary instruction
  • Indigenous Ancestry


  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
  • Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Persons Sector Check
  • Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check
