Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President, Education, the Manager, BC Beverage Technology Access Centre (BCBTAC) is responsible for the day-to-day and business operations of the BCBTAC including management of all BCBTAC employees. The Manager is responsible for ensuring the BCBTAC reaches its annual revenue and service goals and for ensuring that services and contracts are successfully obtained, managed and completed. The Manager will work closely with the College Leadership Team, researchers and consultants to ensure the success of the BCBTAC.


An MBA or MSc in Oenology, Food Science, Bio-chemistry or related science degree is required. A minimum of five years’ experience in a client-focused organization managing technical and service personnel in the areas of beverage development, production, analysis and business operations, and budgeting is required. A thorough understanding and previous experience in the production and marketing of at least one of fermented, brewed or distilled beverages with a basic understanding of the overall beverage sector is required. Experience in beverage research and development activities with a record of accomplishment of bringing projects to completion is required. Active involvement with an established network in at least one beverage sector related to the Okanagan or BC industry is required. Experience working with a Board or Association is an asset.
