Institutional Research and Planning leads the business analytics and advisory services that support BCIT’s strategic goals and priorities for evidence-based planning, decision-making and monitoring of institutional performance. IRP produces numerous reports for use within BCIT, including facts, figures, and statistical information about BCIT; graduate outcome reporting; performance reporting (institutional, enrolment, program, surveys and analysis, and service performance reporting).

Reporting to the Director, Institutional Research and Planning, the Manager, Institutional Research & Planning (IRP), is responsible for working collaboratively with educational leaders in the development and implementation of enrolment plans and targets in support of strategic enrolment management. The Manager provides strategic enrolment-related advice and support to educational leaders while emphasizing a strong focus on customer service, student retention, and learner success. The Manager oversees BCIT’s trades training plans and addresses funding, reporting and other related matters.

The Manager, IRP will be an inspiring and strategic leader with a strong understanding of labour market trends with demonstrated experience in strategic enrolment management. The preferred candidate will have a relevant Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline involving advanced data analysis, with a minimum of five (5) years progressive and related experience with exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire collaboration required for facilitating training, planning, enhancing enrolment initiatives, and change initiatives. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
