Yorkville University and the Toronto Film School (collectively “Yorkville”) form the largest private, for-profit education group in Canada. Founded in 2003, Yorkville aspires to transform lives through innovative, professionally-focused degree and diploma programs through physical campus locations in Ontario and British Columbia which also offer online education, as well as fully online courses registered in New Brunswick. Offering distinctive programs and fields of study, Yorkville reaches markets that are underserved by public and private educators via delivery models that are unique in the Canadian landscape. By continually developing and enhancing its course offerings, program delivery, and student experience, Yorkville has grown into a major institution, providing in-person and virtual learning to both domestic and international students.

The Yorkville University Bachelor of Business Administration is available from the Ontario, New Brunswick, and British Columbia campuses and is designed for mid-career professionals who want a solid business education for future professional growth in any role or industry.

As Yorkville University continues to invest in the future success of their students, they are seeking a National Dean of Business who will lead and promote Yorkville University’s academic vision of transforming lives by championing excellence and innovation in business/management education and establishing Yorkville as a differentiated national leader in online learning and student success.

Reporting to the Provost and Chief Academic Officer, the National Dean of Business is responsible for leading the vision and development of the Business School programming and contributing to the University’s strategic direction. As a member of the leadership team, the National Dean will collaborate with campus and university leadership to support the University’s strategic goals and priorities, and advance the values, culture, and reputation of Yorkville University and the School of Business.  As the leader and spokesperson for the School of Business across all three campuses, the National Dean will be responsible for championing, developing, and implementing a comprehensive, ambitious, and dynamic vision for the School’s future.

The National Dean of Business will be a highly respected and innovative academic leader who is motivated to join a team that is developing and growing a highly respected private university that combines academic excellence and innovation, with flexibility and accessibility. A builder, the National Dean of Business is a credible leader who will demonstrate a realistic understanding of the challenges, ambiguities, and prospects that lie ahead, while also embracing this career opportunity to join a high-performing team focused on delivering transformational impact. Essential to this role is a commitment to innovation in online learning and to supporting mature domestic and international students in their academic and life ambitions.  A doctorate in a related field is required.
