Applications are invited for the position of Vice President, Academic North West College is seeking a dynamic individual to provide leadership for the College, providing adult learning opportunities and promoting life-long learning as a means of enhancing the cultural, economic, and social life of the individual and communities it serves.

North West College is one of six regional colleges, which form part of Saskatchewan’s post-secondary education system. As a premier post-secondary institution in northwestern Saskatchewan, North West College is proud to offer a broad range of learning opportunities that respond to community needs. Adult Basic Education, University programs, skills training, industry certificates and special interest courses ensure the region has the skilled workforce needed to meet the opportunities in Saskatchewan’s growing economy.

Reporting directly to the President, the Vice-President, Academic (VPA) oversees the development, administration and delivery of all educational training programs and services in the College region, consistent with the College’s strategic plan and Indigenization Charter. The VPA is responsible for ensuring the integrity of curricula and the effective delivery for all academic programs. The VPA is a member of the North West College Executive Management Committee.

Applications are invited from candidates who:
· possess a graduate degree in an area relevant to post-secondary education. Preference will be given to candidates with a doctoral degree;
· have demonstrated experience in managing multiple diverse departments at a senior level where significant critical analysis and judgement is
required;
· have experience with financial management and budgeting skills for multimillion-dollar departments or institutions. Understand federal and
provincial government post-secondary education funding arrangement;
· possess a high level of expertise in all areas related to the principles of adult education, as well as the development, delivery and administration
of educational programs including contract development and administration.

Assets for this position include:
· ability to work as part of a management team;
· demonstrated skills in collaborative problem solving, analysis, and accountable leadership;
· demonstrated team building skills, the ability to work in a collaborative team setting and maintain a respectful workplace;
· superior communication skills and effective public speaking and public relations skills;
· the ability to make independent decisions on complex issues;
· academic qualifications and experience in healthcare.
