It is within this context that the College seeks an experienced and collaborative leader for its next President as it continues building its brand as a community-centered destination college graduating job-ready students.
Reporting to the Board of Governors and working in collaboration with St. Clair’s engaged community of faculty, staff, and students, the President will lead the College in optimizing new opportunities aligned with its strategic priorities of academic excellence, student success, community engagement and economic impact, staff development and wellness, campus expansion, and financial sustainability and transparency. As Chief Executive Officer of the College, the President will also successfully manage the infrastructure of human, educational, financial, and physical resources required to develop and deliver the College’s post-secondary educational programming. Nurturing reciprocal relationships with government stakeholders, industry leaders, community partners, educational institutions, parents, students, and alumni is essential in the role.
The President will possess a track record of leadership that reflects a future-focused, entrepreneurial, and relational approach. They will provide collegial leadership to a multi-faceted team, foster collaboration and a culture of empowerment and trust, and demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the student experience. The President will be energetic and accessible, with an orientation to building open and transparent relationships within the College and externally. An excellent communicator and motivator, a champion of college education, and an advocate for advancing institutional Indigeneity, equity, diversity, and inclusion are all essential in the next President. The successful candidate will fully embrace St. Clair’s culture and community, demonstrate passion and a commitment to continued success, and exhibit integrity, sound judgment, and kindness.
