Niagara College is seeking a dynamic, engaging leader to provide visionary and inspirational leadership with a collaborative, student-focused approach. As Niagara College’s next President, you will build upon and strengthen relationships with governments, industry leaders, supporters, other post-secondary institutions and the community. You will chart the future course for strategic growth and development, ensure operational excellence and foster relationships in a college community that is trailblazing, welcoming and passionate. As Niagara College’s 6th President, you will play a key role in its continued success. You will leverage data and analytics to inform decisions and tap into market research, demographic forecasts, employment demand and population shifts. Taking a long-term perspective as President, you will anticipate academic, economic and social trends, and identify needs and opportunities to position Niagara College for long-term success.
Reporting to an engaged, supportive Board of Governors, and working alongside a dedicated Executive Team in a collaborative environment, you will leverage existing relationships and trends in post-secondary education, industry and the economy, while leading with integrity, transparency and accountability. Able to rally people around a shared vision, mission and values, you’ll promote results-oriented teamwork and continuous improvement. You will anticipate and respond proactively to change while ensuring continued financial sustainability.
Your track record of success as a forward-looking, effective senior leader is underpinned by a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration or Education, and at least 10 years’ progressive, relevant experience. Demonstrated experience leading people in a complex, multiple stakeholder, environment, you have fundraising, and change management expertise coupled with the ability to successfully navigate the political landscape and leverage positive government relations.
Ultimately, your success as President will be measured by your ability to challenge the status quo while transitioning smoothly into your new role. You will navigate new challenges, identify areas of change and facilitate the structuring of essential plans in areas including succession and leadership development. As the next leader of Niagara College, you will enhance its dynamic culture with a determined, unreserved focus on student success, while inspiring the leadership team and entire staff complement, and garnering the respect of the Niagara region community.
