NBCC is searching for a new Vice-President Academic and Research who will join NBCC’s new President, and the entire College community, in fulfilling our strategic vision. We require a proven, successful leader in post-secondary education with a collaborative and transparent approach to leadership; a strong commitment to research and innovation; an established record of designing and executing high-level, complex initiatives; a passion for nurturing a sense-of-belonging among students and staff; and a courageous commitment to leading the change that is necessary for us to double learner participation by 2022.
Achieving our ambitious goals requires strategic alignment, collective effort, and dynamic leadership. We are seeking a leader who will ensure we are all pulling in the same direction. Our next Vice-President Academic and Research will be integral to catapulting our College towards our vision of success in 2022.
Qualifications required for this opportunity include a Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Leadership or a related field with a minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible senior management experience with at least five (5) years of demonstrated supervisory experience. Preference will be given to candidates with academic, research and/or administrative experience in a post-secondary education environment. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.
Written and spoken competence in English is required.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
