To reach and to welcome more learners, we must adopt new and flexible modes of program and course delivery in ways that consider diverse and individual needs. More flexibility and increased life-long opportunities will allow us to meet learners where they are today and support them in turning their aspirations into reality. To ensure our success, we must make evidence-based decisions supported by institutional research; build an information technology infrastructure to support new models of learning; design a facilities masterplan to ensure modernization across our College network; and secure the revenue and resources to support our important goals.

NBCC is searching for a Vice-President Finance and Administration who will join NBCC’s leadership team in fulfilling our strategic vision. We require a proven, successful leader who values diversity and inclusion; inspires engagement; leads with integrity; embraces innovation; and builds strong relationships with College stakeholders.  The Vice-President plays a strategic role in the successful management of the college through oversight of financing strategies and resource allocation; information technology; risk management; facilities and ancillary services; institutional research; and leadership for our continuous improvement efforts. We are seeking an individual with a passion for nurturing a sense-of-belonging among students and staff, and a couageous commitment to leading complex change initiatives.

Achieving our ambitious goals requires strategic alignment, collective effort, and dynamic leadership. Our next Vice-President Finance and Administration will provide both the oversight ad foresight to support the achievement of our strategic goals.

Qualifications

Qualifications required for this opportunity include a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or a related field or an accounting designation with a minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible senior management experience in finance and administration with at least five (5) years of demonstrated supervisory experience; or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce or a related field or an accounting designation with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsibly senior management experience in finance and administration with at least five years of demonstrated supervisory experience. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

Preference may be given to candidates with experience working in a post-secondary environment or working within a board-governed organization.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
