With this important mandate, as Vice-President, Student Success, reporting to the President and CEO, and as a member of the College Executive Team (CET), you will work collaboratively with students, student governments, academic and administrative partners across the tri-campus college, as well as with community organizations, to plan, develop and deliver high-quality, responsive services and programs for students that will engage, support and enable student-centred learning and student success within a vibrant, engaged College and organizational culture that lives and values Students First, Teamwork, Innovation, Integrity and Belonging. Across three campuses, the Vice-President Student Success will oversee a large, complex and broad portfolio, providing leadership to a diverse team of professionals and staff in the areas of: Counselling and Accessibility services, Financial Aid, Health Services, Academic Support Services, Athletics and Recreation, Student Engagement, Library Services, Residence and Conference Services and Student Rights and Responsibilities.
Knowledge and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant Master’s degree (e.g., Education, Education Administration, Counselling, etc.) and ten or more years of progressive senior leadership and management experience in student services from within a complex, post-secondary education environment. An acceptable combination of education and extensive experience may also be considered. As an advocate for students, the candidate will be strategic and collaborative, with the proven ability to successfully lead, plan and manage teams of professionals and operations in a complex and diverse environment to ensure outstanding student/client/customer services and supports that will enable student success, well-being and learning. The successful candidate will be emotionally intelligent, politically astute, confident, collaborative, an excellent communicator, with a strong business acumen and solid critical thinking skills. As a leader, the candidate will model and inspire accountability, teamwork, transparency, respect, trust and integrity.
The salary range for this role is $126,716 to $168,954 (Salary band 16). The compensation package includes a performance-based incentive program and a comprehensive benefit package. Starting salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
