Executive Management AVP, Student Services and Community Relations
Reporting to the President, the Associate Vice President of Student Services & Community Relations is a member of the Senior Executive Team and has overall responsibility for promotion of the College in community, with community agencies and organizations, local governments, industry and commerce.
This role is responsible for supervision of direct reports as assigned, which currently are Student Services, Aboriginal Education and International Education. This includes all matters related to evaluation and analysis of direction and priorities for each portfolio, budget development, management, human resources, goal setting and planning, service development, service evaluation and day to day operations. Attendance at meetings of the Board of Governors is anticipated.
As a member of the senior management team, the Associate Vice President has active involvement in such college wide issues as institutional goal setting, program planning and facilities, delivery of services to the community and students, institutional evaluation and other areas as directed by the President. This position is responsible for both external and internal liaison on matters within this portfolio.
The ideal candidate is a collaborator, facilitator and administrator working across the institution with faculty, staff, students and community and industry partners.
$102,273.00 – $136,364.00 annually, depending on experience and qualifications as per NLC’s excluded classification scale. An excellent benefit package is offered, including extended health and dental benefits. Vacation entitlement will be pro-rated based on full time equivalency (210 hrs. /year).
