Dean, School of Nursing and School of Health Sciences

The Dean, School of Nursing and School of Health Sciences will provide exceptional academic leadership and promote strong academic integrity in ensuring that graduates are prepared for success in their chosen field of employment. He or she will implement and deliver an effective strategic plan for the Schools, driving initiatives that are responsive to labour market demands and encouraging excellence in teaching, research and program delivery. Building successful and sustainable partnerships with employers and the local communities will be critical to success in this role.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Nursing or in a related field of study; a doctoral degree is preferred. Eligibility for registration with the SRNA is also a requirement for this position. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, reinforced by a history of senior-level leadership experience. Demonstrated experience in developing high-performing teams and leading innovation within a post-secondary education environment will be critical to success in this position. Relevant industry-related experience will also be considered.
