|Responsibilities||Lethbridge College is seeking a Sandbox Program Coordinator, located at Lethbridge College.
The Sandbox Program Coordinator will lead and develop a comprehensive and respected suite of innovation and entrepreneurship programs. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the management and coordination of services and initiatives that encourage, develop, enable and promote the entrepreneurial and innovative talents and ambitions of all participants and partners at the institutions involved in Southern Alberta. The Program Coordinator will play a leading role in supporting a holistic approach toward participant’s success, in particular within the experiential and entrepreneurial aspects of student development, which includes accessing the skills and professional endeavors of our participant’s and partners.
This is a contractual appointment, with possibility for renewal, for a three year period, starting early in 2018, reporting to the Dean, Centre for Technology, Environment and Design
Key Responsibilities and Functions:
|Job Duties||The Program Coordinator will have overall management responsibilities for human and financial resources, scheduling, and processes for multiple programs. The Program Coordinator must exercise skill in managing people and provide staff, students and faculty with a productive environment and learning opportunities. A high degree of organizational skill, interpersonal acumen and problem solving ability is required to provide oversight in balancing the multiple priorities, partners, facilities and programs.
The Program Coordinator must be a strategic thinker who will provide input into strategies, management, structure and process for the assessment, planning, initiation and provision of innovation and entrepreneurship. He/she must ensure that these items are of high quality, reflect well on the institutions involved and are a positive factor in engaging and developing participants.
The Program Coordinator will view and develop the Sandbox as an entrepreneurial environment and “collision” space. This will require a high degree of creativity, strategic thinking, entrepreneurial ability and adaptability.
|Required Qualifications||– University degree in a related area with a preference toward Master level training
– Highly developed interpersonal skills, networking, planning, budgeting
– Industry experience in the agriculture sector
– Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
– Entrepreneurial experience Excellent language and written skills
– Must be able to travel and have valid driving license
– Eligible to work in Canada
|Salary||Starting from $34.13 to $40.17/hr. Commensurate with education and experience.|
