Executive Management Vice-President, Education
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer and an integral member of the Executive Management Team, the VP, Education provides leadership and direction relating to the successful delivery of Adult Basic Education, English as an Additional Language, Literacy, and University Programming. For the term of this opportunity, they will be the primary driver to ensure the priorities of Southeast College are met in the areas of University Programming and Student Advising.
The VP will champion an organizational culture of excellence, client-focused, accountability, team, innovation and effectively mentor cross-functional teams and build strong connections with business partners and customers. With strong negotiating and problem-solving skills and a candid communication style, the position advocates for common sense and evidence-based business decisions.
The position will work collaboratively across all aspects of the institution to develop and implement programming solutions that support labour market needs and learners, provide leadership on effectiveness and efficiency measures to ensure effective delivery of College operations, and excel at providing student support services
This opportunity will be best suited to an individual with working knowledge of the post-secondary learning environment, most specifically at the University level. This individual would also bring with them demonstrated success assisting learners to create and realize their educational goals. Experience in the Adult Basic Education and English as an Additional Language programming areas would also be considered an asset.
An experienced senior-level administrator, the individual will be well-equipped to lead, grow and manage a team of 6 direct administrative reports, more than 15 in-direct instructional reports, and a budget in excess of 1.5 million.
Preparation at the Masters level in a related discipline is preferred. A combination of related post-secondary and related experience may be considered.
This opportunity is flexible and may be tailored if the right candidate is seeking less than full-time hours of work. Currently, this is a 1-year (pending start-date) Out-of-Scope term contract based in Weyburn, SK.
